Jenny Hemming was a solicitor in leading practices in London and Bristol for 15 years, where, after a broad City training, she chose to specialise in both contentious and non-contentious construction law. Her significant involvement in large scale litigation/ dispute resolution and in complex contract drafting gave her extensive experience and knowledge of the legal and commercial issues which impinge upon businesses, and the legal solutions to these.
In advising clients her preference is to identify significant risks at an early stage and to seek solutions as much as possible through discussion, understanding, and being on the correct legal footing from the start.
In 2002 she was fortunate enough to to become a retained advisor to a mid-sized international NGO, where her involvement for 13 years as Director, Company Secretary, and legal counsel enabled her to draw upon her existing legal experience and to develop and expand her expertise in the not for profit sector.
As a legal consultant to an increasing range of clients in this sector, she has found huge motivation and interest in the range of issues which they face and the breadth of outcomes which they seek. Jenny looks to achieve outcomes which enable third sector organisations to focus on those whom they serve.
